AMBALA: In yet another suspected case of honour killing, a 21-year-old B.Tech student was found dead on the railway tracks here on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday.
Suspecting it to be murder, the victim's parents have sought registeration of a case against two brothers of the girlfriend of their son, Mahender. The youngster had gone missing since Friday evening when he had left home to meet Sanju and Raju, the brothers of his girlfriend, who lived near his house in Shivalik Colony here.
"In fact Sanju, Raju and their parents were strongly opposed to the relationship and used to warn us against the relationship. On Friday night, Mahender left home to meet the two brothers who had called him to discuss some matter. When he did not return, we filed a missing person report at Sadar police station," Om Parkash, the victim's father said.
"This is a clearcut case of murder and with a view to mislead the police, both Sanju and Raju abandoned the body on the railway tracks," Om Parkash alleged. The Sadar police officials informed that a missing person report has been filed in this case. "Since the body was found on the railway tracks, we would examine the entire issue and appropriate action will follow," the investigating officer informed.
